Mary Maher

Mary brings 30 years of commercial, financial and business acumen to her role as Managing Director at Man Bites Dog. Leading across all aspects of the organisation, Mary is driving the consultancy through the next phase of sustainable growth, empowering the team to develop meaningful partnerships with our clients and providing a strong foundation for our future-focused business.

Starting her career as a Qualified Chartered Accountant, Mary has extensive experience working in and with several professional services firms. Her early auditing and advisory roles developed her understanding of different business models, cultures and sectors. She expanded her leadership skills and experience in commercial and operational roles in global healthcare communications agencies such as CCA and Havas Just. Mary also worked in senior positions in L&D at BPP and Macintyre Hudson, and in internal finance at BDO.

Mary thrives on the challenge of driving commercial success and business growth in a people-focused strategic marketing consultancy. Her strong leadership focuses on all internal functions including Finance, Operations, Legal, Risk, People and Talent Management to ensure that the consultancy is a high-performance business. Mary champions our team’s learning in our L&D Academy as well as our Quality Management and ESG processes and behaviours. These two passions of the team’s growth and quality of client delivery are at the heart of her decision-making.

Mary is ACA qualified from the ICAEW and holds a BA Hons degree in Human Geography and a Postgraduate Certificate in IT from the University of Leicester.
